Review – Is For10cents a Scam Review – Is For10cents a Scam?

 - The review shows that this is a penny auction website. As the name implies the bids start at ten cents each. This is the rock bottom lowest price I have ever seen bids sold for. If you are new to the Penny Auction than bids are what you buy to participate in the auction. Unlike traditional auctions where you bid by the dollar or the hundreds of dollars Penny Auctions require that you buy bid packs and each bid is typically only worth one cent at auction. While there are deals to be had at these types of sites, they seem to lack the great deals that you can find on big ticket items like you can find at

Of course there is a catch to paying the ten cents for a bid. You have to buy bid packs that have 10,000 bid in them. That is a lot of bids and means that your investment will be one thousand dollars. Oddly enough I could not locate the cost of the bid if you bought it in the one hundred bid pack until I clicked on buy bids. I was disappointed to find that 100 bids roughly came to sixty cents per bid which is the industry average.

This website is easy to get around it is pretty straightforward (unless you are looking for the cost of the bids). The contact page did not contain any actual contact information other than an email and a blip about customer service being available between nine and five CST.

There is a tab that says “rewards” where once you are a member you will be able to see the reward points you earned. Reward points are granted at ten percent of the amount of the bids that you spent and lost. It is better than what a lot of sites offer as far as consolation prizes.

The help section was moderately helpful I would have like to have seen more in depth information here.

There were quite a few impressive items which is a bit odd for a Penny Auction site. Typically you will find gift cards and bid packs on Penny Auction sites and very few high ticket items. On this website there was plenty of options for decent items.

This website is easy to use and has a decent amount of items to bid on. If penny auctions are your thing this may be a great opportunity for you. I could not find any negative reviews but I also could not really find any positive reviews so it is a bit difficult to make a call either way.

It is not a scam that is certain and you should be relatively safe bidding on this site.

Overall, the review shows that this is a viable site and is not a scam but is not as popular as
